Anousha Payne, born 1991, lives and works in London. She gained her BA in Sculpture from Camberwell College of Art in 2014. Through her practice, Payne explores cultural identity through the interweaving of folktales, mythologies, personal experience and fictional narratives. Alongside this, her work questions material hierarchies and animism. Her work is currently on show in Bathing Nervous Limbs at Arusha Gallery, Edinburgh. Recent exhibitions in London include A New Art World at Guts Gallery, and Where things land down at Fels, and she recently completed a residency at The Fores Project. Upcoming shows include Hawala at Paradise Row, London, Vessels in Athens, and a group painting show at Spazio Cabinet, Milan, all in September, and a collaborative show with Anna Perach at Cooke Latham gallery, London, in December.
